A quick update.
Hello everyone! It has been a while since we have commited any official comminucations about the development of Wet Nightmares, given all the questions we get about the status. So please allow me to quicky run off how development is going quickly while we build towards the next version.
Wet Nightmares is still very much in active development, and work is being done daily on the game. We just have a few more hurdles to pass than our other projects, given that the lead is directing the game in his native language of Spanish, before we can do anything that work needs to be moved over to English, and it just takes time.
So some facts:
1. Wet Nightmares script has been 100% compeleted. There are a total of 6 chapters in the main story of the game (main as in the official ending), altertive endings still need to be written. The total word count is 94,000 words, which is roughly 400 pages of text. Wet Nightmares is officially "novel" length.
2. We aim to support as many languages as possible with the game, but first we need to move the project from Spanish to English, then have another English speaking editor make changes to the story to better suit an English speaking audience. After that we can begin localizing the games to other languages. Not sure yet how many we will be able to fully cover.
3. The current focus for the main development team is creating a "direction document" which takes the basic script, and turns it into scenes for the visual novel editor to follow and create within Renpy. Think of this as the visual guide or anamatic we will use to direct motion and scene changes. With a game of this length and of this type of athmosphere it is a very important step.
4. For the future moves the dev team will do, after we have the direction document, the main staff will move onto "blocking", which is very rough sketches for art and content needed for the scenes in the direction document. Once compelted it will also create a list of what assets need to be made. And at this point the art process can begin. Erkerut will then focus entirely on building art for the game.
And that is about where we are right now with development. Sorry it isn't super bombastic, but the team is hard at work making Wet Nightmares a reality. Thank you for your patience, the game will be amazing!

Is there going to be voice acting
It would be quite expensive, so it would entirely depend on sales. We can do like a few vocal sounds when lines are being said, but I dont know if we would do a full read of the game.
voice acting for sex scenes would probably be greatly appreciated at the very least.
